Amherst Groundbreaking

The Town of Amherst held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fort River Elementary School today. The new building will be a 105,750 SF school for 575 students in grades K–5. A supportive crowd turned out for the festivities that included remarks by dignitaries and stakeholders, all celebrating the beginning of construction for what will be a net-zero energy school in a community that is prioritizing its sustainable future.
