ADA Celebrates 35 years

July 26, 2025 is the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) being signed into law. Over the years there have been amendments to the original law, and its positive impacts extend well beyond simply making the entry to buildings easier. Any of us who have directly benefited, or had family members whose access was improved as a result recognize its importance. As architects of public spaces that serve entire communities, barrier-free design isn’t just a requirement, it’s an obligation to provide access for all. Cheers to 35 years!
